The SAR Team Is Still Looking For 7 Missing People On Mount Godog Garut

The joint SAR team searched for seven people who were reported missing in the Mount Godog area, also known as Curug Kebul, Karangpawitan District, Garut Regency, West Java.

Kapolsek Karangpawitan Kompol M. Duhri said that until now the whereabouts of the missing person on Sunday, October 20.

"We received a report from the family (the victim is missing), currently the Karangpawitan Police together with elements of the forkopimcam, residents, and caretakers are still searching," said Duhri, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 21.

Based on reports from the seven people's families, they went to Mount Godog or Curug Kebul to play every weekend.

Seven people are men named Yaya (59), Apit (57), Aep Saepudin (64), Doyeh (45), Andri (33), Dedi Rohaendi (53), and Yadi Mulyadi (52) who are all residents of Karangpawitan District.

"The seven people have not returned to their respective homes even though they usually returned in the afternoon," he said.

The Daily Executive Head of the Operations and Alert Section of the Bandung Search and Rescue Office, Mamang Fatmono, said that he had dispatched two teams from the Tasikmalaya SAR Post and the Bandung SAR Office to the scene to search for seven missing people in Garut.

One of the entourage sent a message via cell phone to his wife saying they were lost, then reported to the police and the local village office.

Mamang said that the joint SAR team had implemented a mapping to facilitate the search process. The search will continue, Tuesday (22/10).
