A Gang Of Thieves Was Recorded On CCTV At The Cipayung Residents Of East Jakarta

A group of motorbike theft perpetrators visited a residential area in the Cipayung area, East Jakarta. The perpetrator's actions were caught on CCTV surveillance cameras around the scene.

In the CCTV footage, the perpetrator is walking around monitoring the situation by riding a motorbike. When he saw the target of a resident's motorbike, the motorbike driven by the perpetrator then stopped and turned around to ride a motorbike in front of a resident's house.

After seeing the quiet surroundings and considered safe, one of the perpetrators immediately launched his action. The perpetrator broke the key to one of the residents' automatic motorbikes parked on the streets.

In less than a minute, the residents' motorbike keys were damaged and taken away by the evaders. After getting the stolen motorbike, the perpetrator immediately fled.

Burhan, a local resident, confirmed the theft of motorbikes in his area. He said that the face of one of the perpetrators was clearly caught on CCTV cameras. Residents also printed a face image of one of the perpetrators and spread it around him.

"This area is prone to motorcycle theft. The perpetrator previously went around the village, then immediately stole the motorbike of residents who parked without guard," Burhan told reporters, Monday, October 21.

For this incident, the owner of the motorbike reported the theft to the Cipayung Police. The victim hopes that the perpetrator can be arrested as soon as possible.
