Deputy Minister Of Education And Culture Explains Four Pillars For The Advancement Of Indonesian Education Maps

Deputy Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Wamendikdasmen) Fajar Riza Ul Haq said "Meta Perjalanan Pendidikan Indonesia Towards Indonesia Emas 2025" when giving a public lecture at the University of Muhammadiyah West Sumatra (UMSB).

"The capital towards Indonesia Gold 2045 is how we see and develop what we have today. We have to make a leap that supports the regional government and provincial governments, as well as the central government as the driving force," said Deputy Minister of Education and Culture Fajar Riza Ul Haq in a written statement, quoted by Antara, Sunday 15 December.

Deputy Minister Fajar said there are at least four pillars that must be improved in the Indonesian education roadmap.

The first is fair access to education that there should be no social inequality in the field of education. He emphasized that all Indonesian children have the right to an equivalent and equitable education.

Furthermore, the second pillar is the quality of holistic education. According to him, in addition to access to existing and good education, this access must also be quality and have a positive impact on all and this second pillar is also the main focus of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) in the next five years.

"Furthermore, in the third pillar, namely relevating education with educational goals. In this case, we must be able to analyze or predict future knowledge by reading the behavior of society and technological developments," said Deputy Minister Fajar.

The last pillar is to make accountable education governance and involve the community as actors who build education.

On that occasion, Deputy Minister Fajar also highlighted the importance of character education development. He explained that currently the government continues to pursue intelligence, so it is hoped that social intelligence, emotions, solidarity, and spirituality will grow.

"We must still work hard to make education quality and quality in the future. I believe that students, lecturers, and teachers can play an important role in ensuring Indonesian children become useful and beneficial generations for the homeland and nation," he said.
