JAKARTA The 2024 regional elections in the Banten region are a nightmare for the Atut Chosiyah Queen dynasty. Candidates for regional heads from the Banten dynasty in recent decades must recognize the victory of their rivals.

In the Banten gubernatorial election, Airin Rachmi Diany, who was paired with Ade Sumardi, lost to Andra-Dimyati after only earning 2,449,183 or 44.12 percent of the votes compared to 3,102,501 votes or 55.88 percent of the votes.

In the Serang Pilwakot, Queen Atut's half-brother, Ratu Ria Maryana, who was paired with Subadri Ushuludin, lost to Budi Rustandi-Nur Agis Aulia.

The only candidate for regional head from the Queen Atut dynasty who won the regional elections in Banten was Atut's nephew, Pilar Saga Ichsan. The pillar, which is the Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang (Tangsel) paired with Benyamin Davnie as a candidate for deputy mayor, was able to beat the pair Ruhamaben-Shinta Wahyuni Chairuddin.
