Prabowo Is Urged To Be Aware Of Jokowi's Closeness To Conglomerates

JAKARTA BRIN political observer Siti Zuhro appealed to President Prabowo Subianto to be aware of the closeness of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo with conglomerates in Indonesia after the disclosure of the meeting between Jokowi and Lippo Group boss Mochtar Riady.

Through his social media account, Jokowi shared a photo of the moment he met with the boss of the Lippo Group, Mochtar Riady at his residence in Solo, Central Java. The photo shows Jokowi sitting in the corner wearing a white long-sleeved shirt. Meanwhile, Mochtar Riady's family wore batik.

Siti Zuhro revealed that the meeting between Jokowi and the boss of the Lippo Group could be interpreted as an effort to knock on the entrance to Prabowo Subianto's circle. The hope is, of course, that we can make a profit in the era of Prabowo's government as felt in the Jokowi era.

"The conglomerates still want to establish a good relationship with Jokowi with the hope that in the future the same benefits can be felt under Prabowo Subianto's government, which in fact is considered very close to Jokowi," he said, Sunday, December 15, 2024.

In addition, the meeting also proved that Jokowi was very close to the conglomerates. This can raise public suspicions about the distribution of cakes in the Jokowi era. This can also mean the closeness of them and the benefits they (Group Lippo) felt during Jokowi's 10 years of power," he added.

Siti Zuhro stated that the conglomerates still consider Jokowi's existence and role in the political and national economic arenas. The difference is, Jokowi now plays a role as a liaison with the current authorities.

"The conglomerates certainly still calculate the existence and possible role of Jokowi in the political and national economic arenas. Otherwise, there will be no meeting," he said.
