Tanks Hit By Explosives, Commander Of Israel's Armored Brigade Killed In Gaza Strip

JAKARTA - Israel's local media reported that the 401st Israeli Armored Brigade Commander was killed in a gun battle in Greater Java, northern Gaza, Palestine.

Daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Sunday afternoon that Israel's 41st Armored Brigade Commander Colonel Ehsan Daqsa had died, quoted from Mehr Oct. 21.

The Israeli military confirmed that Colonel Ehsan died after his tank was hit by an explosive device in the city of Jabalia, Gaza, on Sunday, quoted from IRNA.

Meanwhile, the Times of Israel reported that Colonel Ehsan Daqsa was one of the most senior officers killed against Hamas.

Daqsa (41) comes from the city of Druze Da'iyat al-Karmel. He took over the command of the 401st Brigade in June, according to a Times report.

Israeli media also reported that the Commander of Israel's 162nd Division and 52nd Division were caught in a massive ambush in Bali. Initial reports show they were also killed.

Earlier, the military announced on Saturday that two Israeli soldiers were killed in ground battles in the northern Gaza Strip.

According to a statement from the Israeli military, the soldiers, who served in the 52nd Battalion of the 401st Armored Brigade, were killed in clashes with Palestinian fighters.

Thus, the death toll on the Israeli military since October 7, 2023, has been 747.

In addition, at least 4,969 Israeli soldiers were injured in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and in cross-border fighting with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, according to military data.
