Afdal Ali's Attorney Regrets Handling Of The As-Syafi'iyah MA Student Violence Case

JAKARTA - At the South Jakarta Metro Police, Afdal Ali's attorney revealed that the alleged abuse case experienced by his client had not been positioned, or had not been followed up by the related unit by the South Jakarta Metro Police.

He regretted that the report made by his client had yet to be positioned. In fact, the victim has made a police report (LP) since Tuesday, October 8, then.

"We as attorneys regret why this report is on October 8, 2024 until today has not been positioned. Even though this case has gone viral," he said.

Therefore, he asked the police to immediately follow up on the victim's family's report by looking for the perpetrator of the persecution of Afdal Ali.

"Today's results are very disappointed, but we hope that the PPA unit, whoever the investigator is, asks for this process immediately. Follow up as soon as possible, if the perpetrator is guilty, he will be dealt with immediately," said Saut.

"Who is the investigator? Now that is the authority of the Police Chief, because we were above asking the PPA they don't know who the investigator is. So we can't ask at length," he added.

Previously, the police claimed to have examined a number of witnesses at the MA As-Syafi'iyah school, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta.
