Russian Missile Hits Building In Ukrainian Odesa, 4 People Killed

JAKARTA - Russian missiles hit a commercial building in Ukraine's southern Odesa region last night, killing four people including a 16-year-old girl.

This is Russia's fourth attack on the port of the Black Sea and its surrounding region in the past five days., regional governor goalkeeper on Friday, October 11, said mourning days were announced in the region in memory of people killed in a Russian drone strike on October 9.

"In two days Russian terrorists killed 13 civilians in the Odesa region and most of them were youths," the goalkeeper said.

The ability to maintain exports through the port of the Black Sea is critical to Ukraine's economy being hit badly by the Russian war in Ukraine.

The Attorney General's Office said Russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure with Iskander ballistic missiles at around 22:35 a.m. on Thursday evening.

Two-story commercial buildings housing food production facilities where civilians work are affected by attacks and 10 others injured, officials said.

Attorney General Andriy Kostin said Russian attacks targeted civilian infrastructure and sought to create conditions of life that were not possible for millions of Ukrainians.

The Ukrainian air force said it shot down 29 of the 66 Russian drones launched into Ukraine overnight.

Moscow also fired two missiles and 31 drones lost tracks.
