The General Election Commission (KPU) prioritizes the distribution of logistics for regional head elections to 3T (lagging, leading, and outermost) regions throughout Indonesia.

KPU chairman Mochammad Afifuddin said the logistics for the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada) for all of Indonesia were ready.

"All of Indonesia is ready, in the process of printing, validation, and all are being sent," Afif said while attending the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Election Preparedness Ceremony in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 11.

He mentioned that in sending the pilkada logistics, the KPU prioritized sending logistics earlier to the 3T area.

"So that later when you get to the destination it's not too late. The point is that everything is ready, safe," he said.

The KPU continues to ensure that all stages of the 2024 Pilkada run smoothly. Meanwhile, for logistics, his party will also continue to supervise the winning tender for logistics preparation to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

"I have checked it and in Southeast Sulawesi Province it is also running (logistical distribution," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Operational Bureau of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes Tumpal Damayanus, revealed that his party had prepared a team to accompany the KPU to the election printing house or logistics in Central Java.

"For distribution, we will carry out escorts from printing stations to ports in Kendari. From Kendari, we will inventory the ballots with the regency/city KPU, then escorted by the respective police to the KPU warehouse," said Tumpal.

To escort ballots in each district/city KPU throughout Southeast Sulawesi, his party has also prepared 10 joint police personnel in each region.

"This one KPU has 10 personnel, there is traffic, there is also security," said Tumpal.
