Alexander Marwata Not Necessarily Attends Investigation At Polda Metro

Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Alexander Marwata is said to have not confirmed his presence regarding the agenda of examining alleged violations of meetings with litigants, namely the former Head of Yogyakarta Customs Eko Darmanto.

Alexander Marwata's examination is known to be scheduled at the Special Criminal Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police, Friday, October 11.

"Regarding the confirmation of the presence of Alexander Marwata to fulfill the clarification invitation that has been sent by the investigative team, we are still waiting for confirmation of his presence," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, to VOI, Thursday, October 10.

So, it is not yet certain whether the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK will fulfill the summons for the examination.

However, if Alexander Marwata fulfills the invitation, the investigative team will explore several things, especially regarding his meeting with the former Head of Yogyakarta Customs, Eko Darmanto.

The examination of Alexander Marwatan is known to be the first time in the investigation process.

"The material of clarification against Alexander Marwata is related to alleged criminal acts in the form of direct or indirect relationships committed by KPK leaders with suspects or other parties who are related to corruption cases handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission in 2023," said Ade.

Meanwhile, the alleged criminal act committed by Alexander Marwata is a direct or indirect relationship committed by the KPK leadership with a suspect or other party who is related to a corruption case handled by an anti-corruption agency.

Alexander Marwata is said to have met Eko Darmanto in March 2023.

During the meeting, the KPK was investigating Eko Darmanto in a case of alleged gratification and money laundering (TPPU).
