Jambi Police Detain 2 Suspects Of Porn Video Actor

JAMBI - Jambi Regional Police detained two immoral video actors who had gone viral on social media some time ago after naming both of them as suspects.

PS Kasubdit Cyber Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Jambi Police AKBP Reza Khomeini said the two suspects with the initials KN and MA had complied with the second summons sent by investigators.

"Both of them have been examined and immediately detained," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 9.

The two suspects who played immoral videos were placed at the Jambi Police Headquarters detention center for the next 20 days for further investigation.

"As of October 9 to the next 20 days," added Reza.

Reza said the determination of the suspect status to the two immoral video actors was carried out after Sub-Directorate of Cyber Ditreskrimsus Jambi Police investigators collected evidence and asked for information from a number of experts in Jakarta.

"After carrying out the long process of examining witnesses, collecting evidence, there were expert examinations in Jakarta, including pornography experts, ITE experts, criminal experts, and the pornography task force, for this case we raised his status to a suspect," he explained.

The two suspects acted as the party who produced and made themselves a model or actor in the video.

The immoral video went viral and spread through social media and WhatsApp groups in May 2024 after KN's personal documents were taken illegally.

KN and MA suspects are subject to Article 29 in conjunction with Article 4 Paragraph 1 of the Pornography Law and Article 7 and Article 8 of the same law with the threat of a sentence of 10 years in prison.
