NasDem Politicians Participate In Attending Pramono's Meeting With Ali Sadikin's Son, What To Discuss?

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor number 3, Pramono Anung visited the residence of the son of former DKI Jakarta Governor Ali Sadikin, Boy Bernadi Sadikin to stay in touch on the sidelines of his campaign activities.

During the meeting, it was seen that NasDem Party politician Bestari Barus was also present. Meanwhile, currently NasDem has docked with the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus to carry Ridwan Kamil-Suswono in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

Bestari admitted that he was indeed asked to attend by Boy Sadikin at the same time as his meeting with Pramono.

"Incidentally, today I was scheduled to meet Pak Boy, as an elder of Jakarta. I talked a lot about things that, regarding the development of the capital city in the future. Moreover, right now, it is close to the governor's elections, we talked a lot, coincidentally there is Mas Pram," said Bestari at the residence of Boy Sadikin, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 9.

When asked if there was any specific intention in his meeting with Pramono at Boy's residence, Bestari did not answer firmly.

"Humans have a plan, God decides," continued Bestari.

Meanwhile, Pramono admitted that his presence at Boy's residence was a series of visits to former Governor of DKI Jakarta. Pramono admitted that he had known Ali Sadikin's family for a long time.

"So I've been to Bang Ali's house many times, from the first even if Mrs. Mega came here I was the one who said it. So my personal relationship with Mrs. Mega, with Bang Ali's family is quite close and I've also been with Mas Boy so far, the relationship has been very good," said Pramono.

During his tenure as Governor of DKI Jakarta from 1966 to 1977, Ali was considered by Pramono to have left many quite influential heritages in the development of Jakarta.

"Bang Ali is famous for his courage to decide. One of the governors who decided Jakarta to change as it is today, people note that Bang Ali," he explained.

Ali, in Pramono's eyes, is not only known as the former governor who succeeded in bringing Jakarta into a metropolitan city, but continues to use Betawi's Birthday as the main symbol of the City of Jakarta.

"So what used to be initiated and abandoned by Bang Ali must of course be continued and improved with the context as Jakarta as a city of cosmopolitan, a global city. So the approach must be more pleasing for foreigners to enjoy Betawi culture," he added.
