Added 1, Victims Of Sexual Harassment At Ponpes Tangerang Now 8 People

Polda Metro Jaya said the victims of sexual harassment at the Darussalam An'Nur Kunciran Pinang Orphanage, Tangerang, increased by one person. A total of eight people.

"There is one more victim for children as of Wednesday or today," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi when confirmed in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, October 9.

Meanwhile, the Tangerang Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol. Zain Dwi Nugroho in his statement detailed the five child victims with the initials DZ (8), FMK (13), MS (14), RK (16), and three adults M (30), J (19), and RK (20).

Then the identity of the victim's child, who has just been identified as a victim of abuse, cannot be disclosed.

The Tangerang City Metro Police stated that the number of victims in the alleged sexual harassment case at the Darussalam An'Nur Kunciran Pinang Orphanage, Tangerang, increased to seven people, with details of four children and three adults.

"We convey, the results of the investigation that we have carried out, for the number of victims of sexual harassment to seven people," said Tangerang City Metro Police Chief Commissioner Zain Dwi Nugroho when giving a press statement at the Tangerang City Social Service Office, Banten, Tuesday (8/10).

The police chief said the alleged sexual harassment case began with a report that came in on July 2, 2024. However, on the way it was a bit slow due to the trauma experienced by the victim.

For this reason, the police involve various parties in conducting investigations, such as the Social Service, Health Service, Ministry of Social Affairs, Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), and other relevant agencies to reveal more clearly the harassment case, especially the number of victims.

"From the first person this case was reported, then it increased to three and now the total is seven people, with details of four children and three adults," said Zain.

The police are still hunting down another perpetrator in the case of abuse by a number of students by S (49) and YB (30) at the orphanage.

"Another suspect who is also a management has been included in the People's Wanted List (DPO)," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Police Ade Ary Syam Indradi when confirmed in Jakarta, Tuesday (8/10).

Ade Ary added that the other perpetrator was a man with the initials YS who was one of the administrators at the orphanage. "They are being chased by the Tangerang City Metro Police," he said.
