F-PDIP Appoints Bambang Pacul As Deputy MPR, Puan: Many Experiences And Networks

JAKARTA - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, explained the reasons for Bambang Wuryanto's appointment to fill the seat of Deputy Chairperson of the MPR from the PDI-P (F-PDIP) faction.

The inauguration of the MPR leadership for the period 2024-2029 was held at the Nusantara Building of the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Thursday (3/10/2024). The oath/promise of the MPR leadership was led by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (MA) Syarifuddin.

"Alhamdulillah, we from the DPR leadership congratulated the appointed and inaugurated the new Chairperson and MPR leadership for the 2024-2029 period," said Puan after attending the inauguration of the MPR leadership.

There are 9 MPR leaders who have been inaugurated, each representing 8 factions in the DPR, and 1 from the DPD RI group. Ahmad Muzani was elected as Chairman of the MPR for the 2024-2029 period.

Puan hopes that the new MPR leadership can work as well as possible for the next 5 years for the sake of the strengthening of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Hopefully we can continue to oversee all things that must be continued to maintain the unity and integrity of the nation and state," said the first woman to serve as Chair of the DPR RI.

Puan then explained why Bambang Pacul was chosen to represent his faction as deputy chairman of the MPR. According to him, this is because Bambang Pacul is a figure from PDIP who has a lot of experience.

"That's the party's right, which then chose Mr. Bambang Pacul for PDIP. He is one of the figures in PDIP who has been active for a long time, has been qualified in the DPR, there has been a lot of experience," explained Puan.

Bambang Pacul, who in the previous DPR period served as Chairman of Commission III, was also said to have good networking. Puan hopes that Bambang Pacul can carry out his duties well in his new position.

"Then also (Bambang Pacul) has a network or friendship with everything that is here well," said Bung Karno's grandson.
