Pramono-Rano Melejit Electability Is Considered Because Of Some Of These Factors

Political communication observer at Esa Unggul University, M. Jamiluddin Ritonga said there were three factors that made the electability of the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno pair increase. One of them is considered capable of showing it as part of the Betawi ethnicity.

This was conveyed by Jamiluddin in response to the results of the Indonesian Poltracking survey which stated that the electability of the candidate pair for governor-deputy governor of Jakarta number 3 increased significantly.

First, the Pram-Rano pair identified themselves as part of the Betawi ethnicity. This gives a positive impression for the Betawi ethnicity," said Jamiluddin in Jakarta, Saturday, September 28.

Jamiluddin said this identification was successfully carried out because Rano was a figure who preserved Betawi culture. "This has been perceived by the public for a long time," he said.

Finally, said Jamaluddin, because the supporters of Basuki Tjahja Purnama alias Ahok will support this couple. He predicts Ahoker will vote for Pram-Rano.

Meanwhile, Poltracking Indonesia released the results of a survey related to the candidate for governor and deputy governor in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. The electability of the RK-Suswono and Pram-Rano pairs feels very competitive.

It was recorded that RK-Suswono won 47.5 percent electability and was followed by Pramono Anung-Rano Karno 31.5 percent.

Meanwhile, the cagub-cawagub pair number 2, Dharma Pongrekun and Kun Wardana got 5.1 percent. However, there were 15.9 percent of respondents who did not know or did not answer.

The Poltracking Indonesia survey was conducted on September 9-15, 2024, on 1,200 respondents. The sampling of respondents was carried out using a stratified multistage random sampling method.

Respondents who took part in this survey were the age group of at least 17 years or those who were married and had the right to vote in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.

The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews using application technology. The survey margin of error is plus minus 2.9 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
