Binus Had Denied There Was A Senior-Junior Group, KPAI Finds The Opposite Facts

JAKARTA - Binus Simprug South Jakarta (South Jakarta) denied that there were senior-junior groups in the school environment. However, this statement was again denied by the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), which heard directly from victims of bullying.

KPAI Commissioner Diyah Puspitarini said there was a senior-junior group within the South Jakarta Binus school, based on the confession of the bullying victim who came to his office in Central Jakarta, Tuesday, September 24.

According to KPAI, the problem must be resolved immediately so that a similar incident does not occur. KPAI hopes that the South Jakarta Binus will take mitigation action.

"Even though Binus did not admit it, those children involved were also at the school. So we ask to continue to carry out mitigation," he said.

South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Ade Rahmat Idnal explained that RE (16), a victim of bullying at Binus Simprug High School, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, suffered injuries to the mouth.

"We have done a post-mortem (to the complainant) and found that the left cheek looks bruised with an area of 3 cm, hit by a lump and pain in the head," said Ade Rahmat in his statement, Wednesday, September 18.

Ade also said that his party had collected evidence by examining witnesses, visum et repertum, doctor statements from hospitals and videos of students in toilets.
