RIAU - The Riau Animal Husbandry and Health Service (PKH) did not find any symptoms of an infectious disease or a "slit" in the incident of eight buffalo died suddenly in Mentulik Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency.

Head of the Animal Health Division of the Riau PKH Service, Faralinda, said that from the results of the investigation by the Kampar Regency Plantation, Livestock and Animal Health Office, there were no signs of an infectious disease or slitting. The reason is that since last week and until now there have been no reports of buffalo dying again.

From the results of the investigation, there are no signs that the buffalo are infected with infectious diseases. Then there are also no additional dead buffalo. If it is a throat disease, surely dead buffalo will continue to be found, or it has not stopped from what happened last week until now," he said in Pekanbaru, Riau, Tuesday, September 17, which was confiscated by Antara.

In addition, he continued, the dead buffalo was still in good health. Then in the morning, some buffalo were found dead. Around the location there are still how many people are still alive, but they are forcibly cut because the conditions are not good," he said.

According to Faralinda, when the officer asked the management if there were symptoms such as slitting, it turned out that there was none. When checked in the field, there were also no suspicious symptoms of the disease.

Previously this incident was in the public spotlight after a viral video on social media showed the shocking view on Thursday, September 12. Eight buffalo carcasses float in the Kampar Kiri River.

Some of the carcasses were also seen on the edge of the river, which is thought to be eight dead buffalo. However, so many of the local buffalo were released in the surrounding area which was still alive at that time.
