School Bus In Manado Accident, 2 Students Died

MANADO - Two school children died during the single accident of a minibus carrying students on the Griya Paniki Indah (GPI) housing road, Manado to the Manado ring road, Tuesday, September 17 morning.

Head of Manado Traffic Police, Kompol Yulfa Irawati, said that his party received information that there was a traffic accident on GPI Mapanget street.

"Dari informasi tersebut langsung koordinasi dengan Polsek Mapanget dalam penanganan tempat kejadian (TKP)," kata Yulfa dikutip ANTARA, Selasa siang.

He said that in the single accident, there were ten people consisting of nine students and vehicle drivers.

"The student victims have been taken to the hospital. From the information there were two victims who died," he said.

He said that currently his party is still conducting an investigation regarding the cause of the single accident.

In the next handling, they are still conducting interrogation of the witnesses and drivers.

He said the Manado Police Traffic Unit appealed to all road users, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, anywhere, whenever in any situation, to always be careful on the road.

"The accident does not know who and where the place is, must remain careful. The condition of the vehicle must be considered and the safety of passengers must be prioritized," he said.
