The Reason Pramono Will Accept Elementary School Graduates As Orange Troops: Need Those Who Want To Work

JAKARTA - The candidate for governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, said that the officers for handling infrastructure and public facilities (PPSU) or orange troops must be filled with people who want to work. This reason made him return the minimum education requirements for elementary schools (SD) for his fans.

"I will return the (minimally the educational requirements, ed) SD, for what reason, what is needed is not thinking but going to work," Pramono told reporters in the South Jakarta area, Saturday, September 14.

Pramono assessed that the orange troops were no longer seen much. This is because residents who register must graduate from high school (SMA).

"So I will continue that so, the small ones including the orange troops, who are now suddenly missing because the requirements have been raised to become SLTA," said the Cabinet Secretary Minister.

The orange troop was originally a casual daily officer (PHL) of the DKI Jakarta Sanitation Service since the 1960s. They are divided into several units according to the field, ranging from road sweepers, garbage cart officers, to garbage truck drivers.

Then, when Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) served as Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, he made the cleaning staff a PPSU unit spread across villages. They were given orange uniforms so they were called orange troops.
