KIM Plus Compactly Proposes 3 Names Of Acting Governor Of DKI To Replace Heru Budi, PDIP: The Public Will Be Assessed

JAKARTA - PDIP is the only faction in the DKI Jakarta DPRD proposing that the name of the candidate for acting (Pj) for the Governor of DKI Jakarta is different from the proposal for political parties that are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus.

The party faction in KIM Plus compactly proposed three names which were finally chosen as the DPRD's proposal because of the most voting results. The three names are Teguh Setyabudi, Tomsi Tohir, and Akmal Malik.

"The public will assess the figures of the names proposed," said Member of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Dwi Rio Sambodo at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Friday, September 13.

Meanwhile, only PDIP proposed the name Heru Budi Hartono to return to his position as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta until the inauguration of the Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta was elected as a result of the 2024 Pilkada.

The other two names proposed by PDIP are DKI Regional Secretary Joko Agus Setyono and DKI Deputy Governor Marullah Matalli. However, Heru, Joko, and Marullah were not chosen as 3 names proposed by the DPRD because of the small voting results.

In fact, according to Rio, these three ASN names have understood the Jakarta issue because they have worked within the DKI Provincial Government for a long time. Moreover, PDIP sees aspects of rationalization of the sustainability of the DKI Provincial Government program in the future.

"Moreover, later we will need to manage the discussion of the 2025 APBD, which should not experience distortions that are too far away. The most important thing is that we experience a transition in power under the authority of the DKI Jakarta government," said Rio.

"We are not negating or ignoring the capacity of colleagues outside of that. But in the context of these three aspects, it feels like it is in accordance with what we propose," he added.

Today, the DPRD held a joint leadership meeting (rapimgab) to submit proposals for the names of candidates for the Governor of DKI Jakarta to replace Heru Budi after two years in office.

Based on the most voting results, Teguh Setyabudi, Akmal Malik, and Tomsi Tohir were named as 3 candidates for the DKI DPRD proposal.

Currently, Teguh Setyabudi is the Director General of Dukcapil of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Akmal Malik is the Acting Governor of East Kalimantan, and Tomsi Tohir is now Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The three names will later be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs which also has three names proposed. The proposal from the DPRD and the Ministry of Home Affairs will later be submitted to President Jokowi to choose one of the names as the new Acting Governor of DKI.
