Yesterday Said Heru Chose Heru, A Number Of Political Parties At KIM Plus Suddenly Proposed Other Names To Be Candidates For Acting Governor Of DKI

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD has formulated three names proposed to be candidates for the Governor of DKI Jakarta based on the results of the joint leadership meeting (rapimgab) which was held today.

The three most proposed names are candidates for the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, namely Teguh Setyabudi with 8 factions proposing, Tomsi Tohir with 7 proposals, and Akmal Malik with 7 proposals.

Currently, Teguh Setyabudi is the Director General of Dukcapil of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Akmal Malik is the Acting Governor of East Kalimantan, and Tomsi Tohir is now Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

In fact, several political parties such as PKS, PSI, Democrats, and NasDem had revealed that their faction wanted to propose that Heru Budi Hartono return to his position as Acting Governor of DKI.

Suddenly, in today's rapidity, political parties who are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus compactly propose three names other than Heru. PKS, PSI, Democrats, and NasDem also changed the name of the proposal to be uniform with KIM Plus.

Member of the PAN faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Husen, explained that changes in political dynamics, in this case proposing the name of the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta as a substitute, were common.

"In politics, right. The issue of political divisions is a matter of minutes, a matter of seconds," said Husen at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Friday, September 13.

Husen admitted that the KIM Plus political parties did have time to consolidate to equalize the proposals for the names of the candidates for the Acting Governor of DKI to replace Heru whose term ends on October 17. The consolidation was only carried out this morning.

"Consolidation is normal, there is no problem. Especially about KIM, right. So, indeed our goal is in the framework to convey how Jakarta is, so choose the best, yes," said Husen.

Previously, in the meeting, the chairman of the DKI DPRD, Achmad Yani asked each faction to propose three candidates for the Acting Governor of DKI. The KIM Plus political party compactly proposed the names Teguh Setyabudi, Tomsi Tohir, and Akmal Malik.

There are other names proposed by a handful of KIM Plus political parties, namely the Acting Governor of South Papua Rudy Sufahriadi who was proposed by PKS, and the Secretary of DKI Joko Agus Setyono by NasDem.

Meanwhile, only the PDIP faction proposed a different name from KIM Plus. Namely Heru Budi Hartono, who is currently the Acting Governor of DKI, Secretary of DKI Joko Agus Setyono, and Deputy Governor of DKI Marullah Matali.

Furthermore, the three names will later be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs which also has three names proposed. The proposal from the DPRD and the Ministry of Home Affairs will later be submitted to President Jokowi to choose one of the names that will fill the vacant positions until the elected Governors and Deputy Governors of Jakarta as a result of the 2024 Pilkada are sworn in.

"Based on these results, three names will be submitted to the Minister of Home Affairs to be taken into consideration in determining the Acting Governor of Jakarta," said Yani, closing rapmgab.

More specifically, here are the proposals for the names of the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta from each faction:
