Jokowi Gives Directions To TNI-Polri Officials At IKN Today

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) gave directions to TNI and Polri officials at the State Palace, the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan (Kaltim), Thursday 12 September.

"Today, we, the TNI and Polri, are gathered by the President, maybe there are words of gratitude from him and also his hopes that in the future," said Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Maruli Simanjuntak at the State Palace, IKN, Thursday, September 12, confiscated by Antara.

Maruli said the TNI was proud because President Jokowi's directive was given at the IKN Palace because when he was still Commander of Paspampres he had accompanied the President to conduct an initial survey of IKN development.

"So, I also happened to be accompanying him at the time of the initial surveys because everything was still mud here and now it has become extraordinary," he explained.

Maruli admitted that he did not know for sure the topic that President Widodo would convey in the direction later.

However, he said it was possible that one of them was about securing the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Elections.

President Jokowi's briefing was attended by elements of TNI and Polri officials from all regions in Indonesia.
