Brothers And Sisters Of Motorcycle Riders Attacked By Drunk Youth In Cakung

JAKARTA - The motorcyclists were victims of a group of youths, fellow motorcyclists, on Jalan Raya Pegilingan, Cakung District, East Jakarta. As a result of the beating, two people suffered injuries to their faces.

The incident was caught on CCTV cameras at the scene. From the CCTV footage, it was seen that two brothers suddenly stopped their vehicles. Meanwhile, behind them, there were a number of perpetrators of the beating who also stopped their motorbikes.

When he pulled over, the brothers were immediately attacked and abused by a number of perpetrators. The two victims suffered injuries to the head. Several residents who were at the location immediately intervened the beating.

Based on Rifki's statement, local residents, the perpetrators suddenly attacked the victim for no reason so that the two victims were shocked and confused.

"There was a motorbike chasing and one motorbike (victim) stopped. Then some people (perpetrators) rode the motorbike and immediately ganged up on the victim. I don't know the cause," Rifki told reporters, Monday, September 9.

As a result of the incident, the two victims suffered injuries as a result of being beaten by the perpetrators.

"The victim who was riding with a wound on his face was bleeding. The reason I didn't know. Suddenly he was grabbed, he got off the motorbike and was immediately beaten," he said.

The motive for the beating is not yet known. Meanwhile, for the purposes of the investigation, the case is now being handled by the Cakung Police and the East Jakarta Metro Police.
