Tempted By IDR 5 Million In Wages, The Ojol Driver In Koja Decreased In Prison After Delivering 1 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine

JAKARTA - RB (25) an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) in Koja, North Jakarta was desperate to become a meth courier. Unlucky, with the intention of looking for additional money, RB actually languished behind bars after delivering a package of methamphetamine weighing 1 kg.

To the police, RB admitted that he received a salary of Rp. 5 million for one delivery of the methamphetamine order.

"I got 5 million (one delivery)," said RB at the Central Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Monday, September 9.

The suspect RB admitted that he had delivered packages containing methamphetamine 10 times. He admitted that he did not know who the dealer was who ordered his services to send a package of methamphetamine.

According to RB, the dealer ordered the delivery of methamphetamine via WhatsApp messages. Every time he ordered his services, the dealer always changed cellphone numbers (Hp). He received a package of methamphetamine in a locked bag from someone he didn't know.

"(The methamphetamine is inside) the bag, locked," he said.

Head of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit, AKBP Iverson Manosoh, said the ojol driver was arrested when he was about to send methamphetamine to the Central Jakarta area.

"Want to be escorted to the Central Jakarta area, his arrest was in the Koja area," he told reporters.

Until now, the police are still investigating who the dealer ordered the delivery order using the methamphetamine. The police are still pursuing it.
