Bobby Nasution's Allegation Of Riding A Private Jet Will Be Investigated By The KPK Through Public Complaints

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that it was suspected that Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution would be investigated through the Directorate of Public Complaints Service Revenue (PLPM). This step was taken after reports came in.

"Because there have been reports that have been submitted, it is focused on the Directorate of Public Complaints Service Revenue," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Monday, September 9.

Tessa said that this handling was no longer focused on the Directorate of KPK Gratification. However, the findings that have been obtained first include the results of Bobby's photo review with a personal jet background will be used as complementary data.

"Yes (the results of the analysis of the photo will be used to strengthen the entranced public complaints, ed)," he said.

The photo of President Joko Widodo's son-in-law (Jokowi) who is also the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution is suspected of riding a private jet uploaded by the X account, @MurtadhaOne1 on Wednesday, August 28. One of them shows him walking on the apron with the background of a private plane parked behind him.

In his upload, this account states that Bobby Nasution and his family also board private jets that are suspected to belong to other parties. "Is this a gratification or not @KPK_RI?" he asked.

The netizen then said the photo was taken around February 18-20, 2023 at Polonia Airport, which has now changed its name.

Apart from Bobby, the KPK is also investigating public complaints regarding the use of private jets by the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) who is also the son of President Jokowi, Kaesang Pangarep. Those who complained were the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) and lecturers at the Jakarta State University (UNJ) Ubaidillah Badrun.

In its report, the Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman conveyed that an MoU for cooperation between the Solo City Government and PT Shopee Indonesia International was related to the development of MSMEs. He suspects that the jet aircraft used by Kaesang and his wife, Erina Gudono, was facilitated by the company.

Meanwhile, a lecturer at the Jakarta State University (UNJ), Ubaidillah Badrun, reported Kaesang's luxurious lifestyle with his wife who used a private jet to the United States.
