Ambassador Confirms Iran's Response To Israel Regarding Haniyeh's Murder Will Be Different From Previous Operations

Iran's ambassador to Iraq said the country's response to the Israeli assassination of the Head of Political Bureau Hamas Ismail Haniyeh would be different from what happened in Operation True Promise.

Iran's ambassador to Iraq Mohammad Kazem Al-e Sadegh told Iraqi media Iran would respond to Israeli acts of terror at the right time.

According to him, this response will differ from the response faced by Israel after attacking the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus.

"At this stage, the response will be different from the previous response in terms of performance, implementation, and strength, which will be determined by the security and military commander at the right time and place," he said, managing Mehr September 8.

"I can say that the first Operation True Promise is part of a show of strength, and the next Operation True Promise will be the implementation of power and with God's permission, Iran's answer will be definitive," he stressed.

It is known that the IRGC Aerospace Troops in the early hours of April 14 launched dozens of missiles and drones against military targets in the occupied territories in retaliation for the Israeli regime's airstrikes on April 1 in the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus. Iran named its counter-attack against the Israeli regime as Operation True Promise.

Ismail Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards died after their residence was targeted in Tehran on July 31, according to a statement released by the IRGC.

In a statement, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps said Ismail Haniyeh's murder was "designed and carried out by the Zionist regime and supported by the American criminal government."

Haniyeh was in Tehran to take part in the inauguration of the elected president, Masoud Pezeshkian, who was held the day before he was killed.

In response to Israeli terror acts, top Iranian officials pledged to give the Zionist regime a proper response, with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei saying, by killing Ismail Haniyeh, the Israeli regime had prepared a basis for severe punishment for itself.
