Jambi Police Investigate The Cause Of The Burning BBM Storage Warehouse

The police are investigating the cause of the burning of a warehouse suspected of being an adulterated fuel storage area (BBM) on Jalan Lingkar Barat, Kenali Asam, Jambi City, on Saturday morning, September 7.

The Head of Sub-Division of Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kompol M Amin Nasution, in Jambi, Saturday, said that when the officers arrived at the location, no owner or warehouse guard was found.

"The cause or owner is still under investigation," said Commissioner M Amin Nasution, Antara, Sunday, September 8.

He said that on Saturday morning at around 03.30 WIB police personnel received information about the fire in the area. When they arrived at the location, there was already a fire engine from Manggala Agni who was extinguishing the fire.

"Because the fire was still burning, then two fire engines arrived and at around 05.30 WIB the fire was extinguished," he said.

His party is also still investigating the truth of the location being used as a place to store mixed fuel, including the existence of the owner.

Meanwhile, from the video circulating on social media, information was obtained that the warehouse, which was suspected to be where the adulterated fuel was stored, exploded and dozens of reservoirs filled with adulterated oplosan oil were burned.
