President Jokowi Continues To Use Zenix Innova During Working Visits In Surabaya

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) continues to use the Toyota Innova Zenix as an operational vehicle during a working visit to the city of Surabaya, East Java on September 5-6, 2024.

Based on a video received from the Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana, President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo arrived at a hotel in Surabaya City using a black Toyota Innova Zenix with the Indonesian police number 1 complete with a red and white flag mounted on the hood of the car.

The Head of State, who wore a blue long-sleeved shirt, was immediately greeted by the Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin who had been waiting for him in the hotel lobby.

Meanwhile, regarding President Jokowi's working visit to Surabaya, Yusuf said the President was planned to inaugurate the Surabaya Ministry of Health Hospital Building, review the market to inaugurate the Djuanda Flyover, bridge, and implementation of the Regional Road Inpres in the northern East Java Province.

The president's decision to use Toyota Innova Zenix was like a vehicle that Pope Francis was traveling in during a visit to Indonesia that attracted public attention because it was not an official official official vehicle commonly used by the President.

Previously, the President used a Toyota Innova Zenix vehicle after receiving Pope Francis at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Wednesday (4/9). Then, on Thursday today, the President also used the car to meet Pope Francis before the Mass Akbar at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK), Jakarta.

The Commander of Paspampres Maj. Gen. Achiruddin, said that the replacement of vehicles by the President was a common thing, especially in incognito or disguised activities.
