JAKARTA - The National Police has tightened security ahead of the Grand Mass which was led by Pope Francis at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK), this afternoon. Tjahyono conveyed the latest conditions ahead of the Grand Mass which will be led by Pope Francis. The mass participants are said to have arrived since the morning and began crowding the GBK area. "This morning since 10 o'clock, this participant has entered GBK," he said. The scheme for the arrival of mass participants is said to be going well. This is because the police and other related parties have arranged to implement a drop-off scheme. The participants will be deployed around the GBK area. Then, the bus carrying them will be parked in the parking bag that has been provided previously. "So they were dropped and then the bus that brought this was then placed in the parking bag that had been provided by the committee," he explained. For information, in securing the Grand Mass of Pope Francis, at least 9,030 TNI-Polri personnel were deployed. In detail, 4,730 Police personnel and 4,300 TNI personnel.

The National Police has prepared 9 parking bags to accommodate 1500 buses. The parking bags are scattered at various points, from Kemayoran, Kramat, to Kampung Rambutan. Meanwhile, Pope Francis' Grand Mass will be held at 17.00 WIB. Around 86 thousand Catholics will attend the activity.
