Tied By Residents After Killing Wife's Life, Perpetrator: This Wants To Be Imprisoned Is Also Okay, I Give Up

JAKARTA - Residents of Kebagusan, South Jakarta arrested Ahmad Saripudin (30) who allegedly killed his wife Febriana Fatmawati (36) on Jalan Sepat, Kebagusan, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Wednesday, September 4, at 00.11 WIB.

One of the local residents, also named Ahmad (20), said that the crowd at that time beat the perpetrator and tied him up so he wouldn't run away anywhere.

"He was beaten by local residents who were targeting him (the perpetrator). Then we tied him up while waiting for the police to arrive," said Ahmad, a witness at the scene, Thursday, September 5.

Ahmad said the perpetrator looked like he had no regrets, said surrender and was ready to be imprisoned.

"He (the perpetrator) said, I just gave up. It's okay to be imprisoned too," he said.

When asked how his son would feel after seeing the incident, Ahmad admitted that if the child looked normal, he would not shed tears. However, he continued, the child seemed confused by the events that occurred at his home.

"What kind of thing is it, children are confused. Don't cry," he said.

Not long ago, the police came to take the perpetrator to the police station. Meanwhile, the victim and other residents were taken on a motorcycle together with three of them.

Then, after the victim was taken to the Pasar Minggu Health Center by residents using a motorbike, Ahmad heard the news that the victim had died.

"The victim died at the Puskesmas (Sunday Market)," he said.
