Lehi City Police Department spokesman Jeanteil Livingston said the boy accidentally shot himself with a gun filled with bullets left in the car.
Citing CBN News, Wednesday, September 4, this incident occurred at 7.40 pm on Monday 2 September. The mother parked her car around Maverick's gas station, then left her child alone.
The boy was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. For more intensive treatment, the victim was flown to a hospital in the north. However, his life could not be saved on Tuesday, September 3 morning.
