KPK Cecar Former Juliari Batubara's Subordinates Regarding Determination Of The Social Assistance Procurement Quota

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined former Head of the General Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs Adi Wahyono as a witness today. He was questioned by investigators regarding allegations of corruption in the procurement of social assistance (bansos) which was handed over by the president during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Witness AW, the investigator's statement is present," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, August 30.

Tessa said AW was investigated a number of things in this case. Including the matter of determining the procurement quota from former Social Minister Juliari Batubara.

As for AW, he was questioned at the BPKP office for the West Java Province Representative. "The questions (investigators, ed) are about the plotting quota from the minister for predetermined companies," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK revealed that it was investigating allegations of corruption in the procurement of presidential social assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic which was distributed in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) in 2020. There are already suspects named, namely Ivo Wongkaren who is the President Director of Mitra Energi Persada.

The actions of the suspect in this case, called the KPK, made the state lose up to Rp250 billion. This figure can still increase because the calculation is still being carried out.

The procurement that was corrupted was called the KPK reaching 6 million packages. This figure is divided into three stages, namely, stages three, five, and six, the other reaching two million packages.
