PDIP Regeneration, Rizal Ramli To Megawati: Salute! Don't Be A Family Party

JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs for the 2015-2016 period Rizal Ramli welcomed the signal of regeneration at the helm of the Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).

According to him, real democracy is a matter of opportunity and distribution of power so that the principles of democracy can operate.

The man who is also registered as an academic then brought up Megawati's political journey with her father, Soekarno, who was also the founder of the PDIP. According to him, the opportunity for party leadership regeneration is strategic enough to realize the great desire of a political institution.

"Don't be a family party, so that Mr. Karno's big dreams for Indonesia can be realized," he said.

On this occasion, Rizal expressed his satirical appreciation to Megawati, who was judged to have played a very big role in bringing the party to the highest levels so that it could control the current government.

"Mrs. Mega succeeded in making PDIP the biggest party, but Mr. Karno's aspirations went further because Trisakti was only a slogan," he said.

Separately, political observer Hendri Satrio explained that there are two general ways of the process of regenerating a political party.

First, with a regeneration scheme within the party's internal body by creating new cadres who have qualified political abilities.

The second is deinstitutional, which means forming a new institution that is different from the old one but with the same ideology. For example, the Golkar Party which gave birth to Hanura and NasDem.

"That's the same ideology because there are differences, so he created a new party, not a new Extraordinary Congress (KLB)," he said in an online discussion, Saturday, March 27.

So far, he said, the political parties that did not have too much friction were PDIP, Gerindra, and PKS. So that the cadre process does not come to a debate.

Especially the PDIP, Hendri said that in fact the party was divided into two, namely the Soekarno and non-Sukarno families.

"PDIP will replace Mrs. Mega, there are two breeds. Soekarno and non Soekarno. The name Jokowi or the name BG appears. It is interesting if PDIP places a non-Soekarno family as its successor," he explained.
