Dharma Pongrekun Boasts That He Wants To Free JIS For Persija If He Becomes Governor Of Jakarta

JAKARTA - The independent route for the Governor of Jakarta, Dharma Pongrekun, boasts that he will make the use of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) free for the Persija Jakarta club if he is elected as Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta with his partner, Kun Wardana.

Dharma admitted that he would review the policy of using a stadium managed by PT Jajarta Propertindo (Jakpro) BUMD so that Jakmania could watch its favorite club at JIS without any problems with expensive rental rates.

This was revealed by Dharma after officially registering as a candidate for the Jakarta Regional Election with Kun at the DKI Jakarta KPU office.

"So we will review how good it is for JIS to be used, it can be enjoyed by Persija fans, especially my friends from Jakmania. If it is possible that the budget exists, then if necessary we will free it," said Dharma at the DKI Jakarta KPU office, Thursday, August 29.

On that occasion, Dharma revealed that his vision and mission in participating in the Jakarta gubernatorial election contestation was a safe effort to save lives for the people of Jakarta.

"Our concrete program is only one, saving the soul of our family. Save it. I invite all of us to unite, together, to fight together to save our families," he said.

The former Deputy Head of BSSN continued, he and Kun and his success team are still finalizing the program in line with the nomination stages until the determination of the candidate pair towards the 2024 Pilkada campaign period.

"First-yama is how safe the soul is. Life is safe, then we can have a full stomach. If we are not full, it is difficult for us to work. I don't want any Jakarta people, especially those with Jakarta ID cards, to be intimidated by every event of life that we go through day by day. Then later we will convey the concrete after the requirements we conveyed were accepted," he explained.

Now, the three candidates for Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta have registered with the DKI Jakarta KPU Office until the last day of registration which was closed Thursday, August 29 at 23.59 local time.

Earlier on Wednesday, August 28, two Jakarta cagub-cawagub pairs had registered with the KPU, namely Pramono Anung-Rano Karno who was promoted by PDIP and Ridwan Kamil-Suswono which were promoted by the Gerindra Party, PKS, Golkar, NasDem, PKB, PSI, Democrats, PAN, Perindo, PPP, Garuda, Gelora, and PBB.

Following that, the Jakarta cagub-cawagub pair for the independent route, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana registered on the evening of August 29.
