South Lampung Police are investigating the cause of a double accident that killed four people on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road route B, Neglasari Village, Katibung District. South Lampung Police Chief AKBP Yusriandi Yusrin said that until now the police are still conducting further investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident that resulted in the death of four people. "The dual traffic accident that occurred on August 23 at 06.32 WIB involved two vehicles, namely Toyota Hiace with police number BH 7001 K and Hino truck with police number BA 8065 JL. As a result of this accident, four people died, one person was seriously injured, and three people suffered minor injuries," he said in Kalianda, Thursday, August 29, which was confiscated by Antara. For this incident, he emphasized the importance of maintaining safety while driving on toll roads, especially at accident-prone points such as at the scene.

South Lampung Police Traffic Head AKP R. Manggala Agungsri Mahardjo said the process of evacuating victims and handling the accident site at that time had been carried out quickly and accurately, in order to minimize further impacts on other road users. According to him, patrols and supervision on the toll road are more tightened to prevent similar accidents in the future. "With this effort, it is hoped that the safety and comfort of toll road users in the South Lampung area can be guaranteed, and the number of traffic accidents can be reduced as much as possible," he said. Therefore, he appealed to all motorists to always be vigilant and pay attention to traffic signs, especially on toll roads that have a higher potential for danger.
