Polda Metro Prepares 8 Parking Bags During Pope Francis' Mass At GBK

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has prepared 8 parking bags related to the grand mass activity which will be led by the Leader of the World Catholic Church Pope Francis to be held at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), on Thursday 5 September 2024 Head of Operations for the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Dermawan Karosekali said the parking bags prepared were spread across the Kemayoran area to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). "There are eight (parking bags) that have been prepared," said Karosekali to VOI, Thursday, August 29. Especially in the Kemayoran area, there are three parking points prepared, namely the C3, C4, and B10 parking lots. While others are located in Smesco Indonesia, Wisma Aldiron Parking, Cawang Djakarta Passenger Transportation (PPD) and Jalan Kramat Raya, as well as Taman Mini Purna Bakti.

In addition, traffic engineering will also be implemented in the GBK area. However, this has not been conveyed in detail. On the other hand, for security, the National Police will conduct Operation Tribrata Jaya 2024. Around 4,520 personnel were deployed in the activity. Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said that Operation Tribrata Jaya 2024 will be held for 6 days from September 2 to 7, 2024. "The National Police has prepared 4,520 personnel with details of the National Police Headquarters 1,077 personnel and Polda Metro 3,443 personnel," said Trunoyudo. The Pope's visit to Indonesia was carried out on September 3-6, 2024. The grand mass event was held at GBK on September 5, 2024 evening, where on the same day an ISF activity will be held which will be attended by a number of heads of state.
