One Dead And 10 Injured As A Result Of Gas Leaks At Iran's Elite Troop Facilities

The gas leak at one of the facilities belonging to elite Iranian forces caused casualties and injuries, the country's news agency reported.

At least one person was killed and 10 others injured in an incident at a facility owned by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) public relations office in Isfahan Province in an early morning statement We reported a gas leak in one of the IRGC workshops in the province.

"This incident occurred at a workshop in one of the centers of the Revolutionary Guard in Isfahan Province," the statement said.

"Unfortunately, one person was martyred and 10 others were injured in a gas leak at an IRGC central workshop in Isfahan province," the statement said, quoted from IRNA.

There are no further details regarding the reasons behind the gas leak, the exact location of the workshop, or the identities of the victims.

Quoted from Iran International, Isfahan is home to several important military bases and the Shahed Aviation Industry Research Center, which produces the Shahed-136 unmanned aircraft.

The city is also home to sites linked to Iran's nuclear program, such as the underground enrichment site Natanz, which is said to have repeatedly been the target of Israeli sabotage activities.

In April, the main part of the air defense system at Iran's airbase in Isfahan was hit by an Israeli attack shortly after a massive IRGC attack on Israel.
