Suicide Bombing At Makassar Cathedral And Palm Sunday For Christians

MAKASSAR - Not only in Makassar. Around the world, Christians are now starting Palm Sunday, a sign that Holy Week is entering. But it was damaged by a suicide bombing at the Makassar Cathedral Church.

Boom.... a suicide bomb exploded in Makassar. Precisely at the Makassar Cathedral Church. This explosion is predicted to occur at around 10:20 a.m central Indonesia time. When the explosion occurred, the congregation was still carrying out services in the church.

The good news is that neither the residents nor the church congregation are victims of this incident. However, some congregants did report injuries.

The Makassar Cathedral Church after changing its name from the Ujung Pandang Cathedral Church has the official name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. It is the oldest church building in the city of Makassar and in the entire South and Southeast Sulawesi region.
