Golkar Usung Eri Cahyadi-Armuji In The Surabaya Pilkada

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party has officially given a recommendation to incumbent Eri Cahyadi - Armuji to run for the 2024 regional head election (Pilkada) in the city of Surabaya.

Eri Cahyadi is grateful for the recommendations given by the Golkar Party to him today.

"I thank the Golkar Party for trusting us again, to accompany us in fighting for the people of Surabaya," he said on the sidelines of giving recommendations at the East Java Golkar DPD office as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 27.

Eri Cahyadi said that the additional support from Golkar for himself and Armuji added strength to fight together in building a better city of Surabaya.

"God willing, togetherness with the Golkar Party will provide the best for the city of Surabaya, which is good for us to continue, what is not good for us to fix," he said.

The chairman of the Surabaya Golkar DPD, Arif Fathoni, said that Golkar supports Eri-Armuji because he has seen the incumbent's achievements in the past three and a half years, which he said could bring Surabaya to develop more.

"So the big family of the Golkar Party wants to help accompany Eri-Armuji's struggle so that the entire Golkar Party's extended family can get a reward because good policies will be worth charity. Well, Golkar wants to take part in getting this charity," he said.

He stated that Golkar, which has officially supported Eri-Armuji, is ready to win the hearts of the people in this year's Pilwali.

"What is certain is that Golkar is committed to becoming an active contributor who has made Eri-Armuji inaugurated as Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the period 2024-2029," he said.

Before getting support, from the Golkar Party, on the same day the pair Eri Cahyadi-Armuji also received support from the Gerindra Party. The handover of support was given a few minutes before getting support from the Golkar Party.
