PSI Responds To OCCRP, Jokowi Is Called Never Corruption

JAKARTA The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) assessed that the publication of the Organizational Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), which included the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, (Jokowi) in the list of corrupt world leaders, reflected the voices of "a line of heartache." PSI accused the group of mobilizing votes when the OCCRP opened the Corrupt Person of the Year nomination on December 5.

"That's the voice of the hurt line, those who haven't been able to move on from defeat in the presidential election. There are digital traces of OCCRP opening up to the public to nominate *Corrupt Person of The Year* until last December 5. So there are polls. Well, the row of heartaches mobilized the vote," said PSI Deputy Chairperson of the DPP, Andy Budiman, on Wednesday.

According to Andy, the methodology of OCCRP publication cannot be scientifically accounted for. "This is clearly different from scientific surveys, which take samples carefully to avoid bias," said the former journalist.

Andy also emphasized that President Jokowi has never illegally enriched himself or others. He considered the OCCRP publication to have no basis.

"If Pak Jokowi is corrupt, the people will know, and the level of trust in him will fall. In fact, until the end of his term of office, the level of people's trust in Pak Jokowi remains very high," Andy added.

Previously, Jokowi gave a firm response to this accusation. He challenged those who made accusations to prove their claims.

"What kind of corruption, hahahaha. What corruption? Yes, it is proven what," said Jokowi when met at his residence, Gang Kutai Utara No. 1, Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo, on Tuesday.

Jokowi also admitted that he had not heard the news and questioned the criteria used by OCCRP. "What are the criteria, let alone?" he said.

The President emphasized that the accusations were slander and malicious framing that was not supported by evidence. "Now there are a lot of slander, evil framing, and accusations without evidence," said Jokowi.

When asked whether this accusation was politically charged, Jokowi asked the media to ask the OCCRP directly. He also said that various parties could use various methods to bring down other people.

"Just ask, hahaha. People can use any vehicle: NGO, party, mass organization, or whatever, to create malicious framing," he concluded.
