DENPASAR - Three women from foreign countries (WNA) from Uganda and Russia were arrested by officers from the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Denpasar, Bali.
Two foreigners from Uganda with the initials RKN and FN, another foreigner with the initials IT. They were arrested by immigration officers for being commercial sex workers (PSK) in Bali.
"They were proven to have commercial sex work in Bali," said Head of the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office, Pramella Yunidar Pasaribu, Tuesday, August 27.
These three foreigners charge 400 United States (US) dollars per hour or around Rp. 6.2 million for their customers and for their customers they can be Indonesian citizens (WNI) and foreigners.
"They are active as prostitutes, of course they cannot be restricted, it could be Indonesians who could be foreigners," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Denpasar Immigration Office, Ridha Sah Putra, said the three foreigners worked as prostitutes with offers through social media.
"We found that there are several links where there are several women from various countries. The links seem to be managed internationally, so from the results of these observations there are several of our agents or officers who are in disguise and until they are known they have a rate of 400 USD per hour," he said.
During the arrest, officers also found contraceptives/condom underwear, and 200 USD in cash which was allegedly used for prostitutes' services.
The money is known to belong to informants who order prostitutes services through online sites as part of an arrest operation.
"While we found that we only worked as prostitutes, did not find pornographic content and they communicated using whatsapp but used overseas numbers," he said.
The Immigration Office Class I TPI Denpasar will take immigration administrative action against the three foreigners by deportation and deterrence, in accordance with Article 75 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration. This step was taken as a form of commitment to maintaining security and public order in Bali.
"The success of this operation further strengthens our commitment to continue to carry out strict supervision of the presence of foreigners in Bali. We will take advantage of technology and social media in surveillance to ensure that only foreigners who contribute positively to people who are allowed to live in Indonesia," he said.
