Gibran Accelerates Revitalization Of Traditional Markets In Solo: Buy Rice, Chicken And Vegetables Cashless

SOLO - Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka visited Kadipolo Market which is located on Jl. Dr. Rajiman, Panularan, Surakarta City, Friday, March 26 yesterday. This visit is part of the routine activities of the Praja Mider; traveling around the country paying attention as well as mapping the problems faced by the people of Solo.

"At the Mider Praja activity this Friday morning, I visited Kadipolo Market to distribute CSR assistance in the form of supporting facilities for implementing health protocols as well as reviewing buying and selling activities that took place in traditional markets during the new normal era", said Gibran. On this occasion, Gibran met and greeted the merchants directly. He saw that there was a willingness from the community to rise in the midst of an economic downturn due to COVID-19.

"The market is a very productive sector. Many previous cases have occurred in Solo, some markets have to be locked down because there are merchants who got infected with COVID-19, of course, this has an impact on the cessation of the economic cycle", Gibran explained.

Gibran wants to accelerate the revitalization of traditional markets so that the wheels of the economy will return to life. Moreover, merchants have received COVID-19 vaccinations. Apart from Kadipolo Market, revitalization has also taken place in several markets such as Kembang Market and Klewer Market.
