PKB Reveals The Reason Gus Yahya And Gus Yaqut Were Not Invited To The PKB Congress

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Hanif Dhakiri revealed the reason why PKB did not invite Yahya Cholil Staquf, Lukman Edi, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, to Effendy Choirie to the congress agenda in Bali on August 24-25, 2024.

According to Hanif, they were not invited because some had become administrators of other parties and some automatically lost their membership because they campaigned for other parties in elections or attacked party honors.

"Pak Effendy Choirie, yes, definitely not invited because of the management of other parties. Pak Yahya, Pak Lukman, and Pak Yaqut have automatically died. It has been a campaign for other parties and even attacked and damaged the honor of parties in the public," said Hanif to reporters, in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 20.

Hanif said that not only campaigning for other parties, the party that was not invited also attacked and defamed PKB in the public. Therefore, he said, the figures were considered not loyal to the party and even damaged the party.

"PKB has been successful in the last election with the addition of seats in the legislature at various levels. Well, they do not support and even attack us (PKB) in the public sphere. So if only they were istikamah in the PKB, would they want to jointly raise PKB, yes of course and of course we invite," explained Hanif.

Furthermore, Hanif said that preparations for the PKB's VI Congress continued to be finalized to make the agenda a success. The congress participants were DPP administrators, DPW delegates, DPC delegates, leaders, and members of the DPR RI FPKB, as well as heads of autonomous bodies and central-level institutions.

In addition, invited guests will also attend the invitation of the PKB DPP as the organizer of the congress, including the leadership of the state to the leadership of political parties.
