Man From Balikpapan Woman Killer Case Of Body In Suitcase In Bali Demanded 12 Years In Prison

The defendant Amrin Al Rasyid Pane (21), the perpetrator of the murder of a woman in the case of a corpse in a suitcase in Kuta, Badung, Bali, was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the Denpasar Public Prosecutor's Office.

In a trial with the agenda of reading the demands at the Denpasar District Court, Bali, Public Prosecutor Putu Windari Suli stated that the defendant Amrin Rasyid Pane, a man from Balikpapan, East Kalimantan was legally and convincingly proven to have committed premeditated murder of victim Rianti Agnesia as regulated in Article 338 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) concerning Murder.

"Demanding, imposing a sentence on the defendant with a prison sentence of 12 years, and reduced while the defendant is in custody and ordering the defendant to remain in custody," said the prosecutor as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 20.

In his indictment, the prosecutor explained that the aggravating thing for the defendant was that he had killed someone in a sadistic way.

In addition, the Public Prosecutor also explained that the mitigating factor in the defendant's claim was because the defendant had never been convicted before.

Previously, the prosecutor's indictment revealed that the murder took place on Friday (3/5), at around 02.30 WITA, on the second floor of boarding house number 10 Jalan Bhineka Jati Jaya, Gang IX No. 15, Kuta, Badung.

The defendant Amrin initially ordered Rianti's sexual services through an application at an agreed price of Rp. 500 thousand. After exchanging the WhatsApp number, Rianti arrived at the boarding house that was sent by the defendant Amrin at around 02.30 WITA. In the room, the two again agreed on the price before having sex.

However, after the relationship was completed, victim Rianti asked for a fee of more than Rp. 1 million, citing the duration of the service which exceeded the initial agreement.

After saying that, the victim held a cellphone and threatened the defendant to report this incident to his friend and girlfriend so that the defendant was beaten if he did not want to pay what the victim asked for.

Hearing this, the defendant panicked and remembered the murder incident during the G20 event carried out by prostitutes at a hotel in Bali.

The defendant, who happened to have a knife on the floor of his room, immediately slit the victim's throat from behind while grabbing the victim's hair.

"The victim screamed while trying to rebel, but the defendant immediately covered the victim's mouth and sat down the victim on the floor, and slit the victim's throat until the victim was weak and convulsed," explained the prosecutor.

Seeing that the victim was still moving, the defendant continued to stab the victim several times, hitting the neck and shoulder so that the victim did not move anymore. After the victim did not move, the defendant was confused about what to do. Seeing the suitcase on the cupboard, the defendant decided to put the victim's body in the suitcase.

However, because the victim's head was not enough to enter, the defendant broke the victim's neck by turning it around and stepping on the victim's head in order to get into the suitcase. After successfully putting the victim's body in a suitcase, the defendant closed the suitcase and covered the open part with his shirt.

The defendant Amrin Al Rasyid Pane then took the suitcase out of the room by dragging it down, then carrying a suitcase containing the victim's body towards Jimbaran, Nusa Dua.

After traveling for an hour, the defendant threw the suitcase under the Jimbaran Panjang bridge.

The victim, who regretted his actions, consciously surrendered to the Kuta Police and admitted his actions in front of the police and the victim's family.

The results of the post-mortem from the Central General Hospital Prof. Ngoerah / Sanglah Denpasar examination dr. Kunthi Yulianti revealed that in the body of a woman aged about 23 years, there were abrasions from blunt violence, as well as cuts and stab wounds due to sharp violence.

In addition, it was found that the internal organs looked pale, the right and left neck vessels were cut off.
