Change Political Maps, KIM Plus Will Hold A Special Meeting After The Constitutional Court's Decision

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party Ahmad Doli Kurnia said the Indonesia Maju Coalition (KIM) plus would hold a special meeting to discuss the political map after the Constitutional Court (MK) decision which changed the threshold rules for nominating regional heads in the Pilkada.

According to him, the Constitutional Court's decision will change the flow of political maps in the 2024 Pilkada. Especially for regional head candidates who have been appointed by KIM plus.

"Yes, I think that's what I said earlier. This is not just Jakarta. Almost in all provinces, regencies and cities will be able to change the map, yes, the political nomination map will be later," said Ahmad Doli Kurnia at the JCC, Senayan, Tuesday, August 20.

Doli assessed that KIM plus should schedule a joint meeting to determine the direction of support for regional head candidates after this Constitutional Court decision.

"Of course, if we are from the Golkar Party from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, of course, this must have a meeting," he said.

But previously, Doli said, his party would first confirm the contents of the Constitutional Court's decision before determining the position in the 2024 Pilkada.

"We will make sure first, we will make sure first, this is new, I haven't received the decision yet. Sometimes the decision is if, later we don't know what phrases are in it until the end, what we will know later, whether this can be done, must be enforced now or not," he concluded.
