JAKARTA - Jakarta's candidate for governor Ridwan Kamil also responded to the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which changed the threshold rules for nominating regional heads in the regional elections.

According to the man who is familiarly called RK, the people who benefited from the decision were residents of Jakarta. Because he said, more people would be presented by candidates and various ideas for the advancement of DKJ.

"I just read, heard from the media as well. If it is indeed a decision, of course one must be respected, right. Because the Constitutional Court is a state institution that reviews statutory matters including the Pilkada. If it can make more candidates for regional elections throughout Indonesia, including in Jakarta, the residents who benefit are residents," said Ridwan Kamil at JCC, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, August 20.

"Because the residents will be treated to an argument about ideas. The more ideas that are solution to regional problems, the better," he continued.

The former governor of West Java also admitted that there were no problems if other candidates appeared after the Constitutional Court's decision. It is known, previously only the Paslon independent path would be against Ridwan Kamil-Suswono's pair.

However, if the Constitutional Court's decision is followed up by the KPU, PDIP, which previously could not nominate itself, may also carry the Paslon without a coalition with other political parties.

"I don't have a problem because even with a lot of it, as long as it's according to the rules, of course it must be played," said RK.

"When the Mayor of Bandung, I installed 8 pairs, there were a lot of independences as well. During the West Java governor election, there were also no problems," he added.

RK understands that there are many dynamics that appear in the Jakarta Pilkada. He is also waiting for the results of the official cagub cawagub registration from the KPU.

"After that, the important thing is that there are no insults, there are negative things, think that the Pilkada is a democratic party. So whether it's a line of sight for God's destiny. If we succeed, we adapt if we don't succeed, we also adapt our duties. power is not everything," he concluded.
