"Today we have a desire that the election participation figures in the upcoming regional elections on November 27 can be above 90 percent," said Bandung Mayor (Walkot) Bambang Tirtoyuliono Bandung, Tuesday, August 20, as reported by Antara.
He said, with various socializations and education that had been carried out by the city government together with election organizers, both KPU and Bawaslu, the level of community participation in the 2024 General Election reached around 82.9 percent.
"Reflecting on the implementation of the election last February, we were able to hold it peacefully, conducively and that is our benchmark," he said.
Meanwhile, the Bandung Police Chief, Kombes Pol Budi Sartono said that he had prepared 1,512 joint personnel from the TNI, Polri and elements from the Bandung City Government to secure the implementation of the Pilkada in Bandung City.
Budi said that the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada is an important momentum for the democratic process in the city of Bandung. Therefore, he ensures that the entire security process must be carried out carefully and well.
