Cak Imin Ready For Dialogue With Yenny Wahid-Wapres To Discuss PKB-PBNU Conflict

Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin admitted that he was ready for dialogue with the daughter of the 4th president of the Republic of Indonesia KH Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), Yenny Wahid and Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin to discuss the conflict between the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) and PKB Executive Board.

"We have a dialogue with anyone. Coffee at my house, coffee with anyone, ready," said Cak Imin as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 19.

Muhaimin also only wanted everything in a peaceful condition. Therefore, he accepted all criticism and input.

Nevertheless, Cak Imin emphasized that PBNU and PKB are different organizations.

"PKB was indeed PBNU at that time, but it should be remembered that PBNU at that time after it was founded. Gus Dur himself said that there was no organizer," he said.

Previously, Yenny Wahid, daughter of the 4th president of the Republic of Indonesia KH Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), hoped that Vice President Ma'ruf Amin could mediate with the conflict between the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) and the National Awakening Party (PKB).

"Kiai Ma'ruf Amin can take a big role in inviting the senior kiai ma'am to take an elderly seat together. Invite all parties Gus Yahya, Cak Imin, and Gus Saiful to sit down together, then what is the common interest here," Yenny said after meeting with the Vice President at the vice president's official residence, Jakarta.

Gus Yahya or Yahya Cholil Staquf are the General Chair of PBNU, Gus Saiful or Saifullah Yusuf are the Secretary General of PBNU, and Cak Imin or Muhaimin Iskandar is the General Chair of PKB.

Yenny also admitted that she was worried about the current condition between PBNU and PKB. He and the Vice President agreed that the existence of PBNU and PKB was a blessing for Indonesia so they must be jointly guarded.

Therefore, he appealed to the Vice President as an elder of NU to invite PBNU and PKB to mediate together in order to create an independent dialogue process.

Moreover, he continued, PBNU and PKB are institutions that were established to carry the values of benefit in the community.

Previously, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin expressed his willingness to mediate in the conflict between PBNU and PKB.

This was stated by the Vice President in his press statement after reviewing the Ku Gerabah Timbul Raharjo Kasongan Museum, Kajen, Bangunjiwo, Kasihan District, Bantul Regency, DI Yogyakarta, Wednesday (7/8).

"If their wish for me is to be asked as a person who denies, sincerely reconciles, I am very willing," said the Vice President

According to the Vice President, reconciling the two warring parties is a religious order, especially that he is one of the founders of PKB and has also been active in PBNU.
