JAKARTA - A pedestrian died on Jalan Pluit Selatan Raya Penjaringan, North Jakarta after being hit by a luxury car of the Lamborghini type, Monday morning, August 19. Information was obtained that the victim was a scavenger.

"The luxury car that was driven, a man, initials RK, drove from west to east and hit a pedestrian on the road," said Head of the North Jakarta Police Traffic Unit, Kompol Edy Purwanto in Jakarta, Monday.

He said the incident occurred at around 00.30 WIB across from Perwata Tower Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

"As a result of the traffic accident, the pedestrian died at the scene," he said.

According to him, the victim suffered serious injuries to his legs and head so that his life could not be saved.

"The victim has been taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for a post-mortem," he said.

In addition, the vehicle with police number B 4 JAJ suffered damage to the top of the body, cracked windshield.

Officers have examined the scene and confiscated a number of evidences in the form of a Lamborghini Huracan sports sedan with a vehicle number (STNK) and a driver's driving license (SIM).

"We have also examined a number of witnesses in this incident," he said.

The police have not detailed the identity of the victim in full, such as the gender and domicile of the victim.
