Prabowo Make Sure To Attend The 6th PKB Congress In Bali, If Jokowi?

PKB 6th Congress Committee Meeting At PKB DPP Office, Central Jakarta/Diah Ayu-VOI

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Steering Committee for the 6th PKB Congress, Faisol Riza, said that President-elect in 2024 Prabowo Subianto will certainly attend the Congress which will be held in Bali on August 24-25. "Pak Prabowo has confirmed his attendance," said Faisol at the PKB DPP Office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, August 13. PKB also invited President Joko Widodo to attend the 6th Congress. However, Jokowi has not confirmed whether he will attend or not. "Pak Jokowi is being asked, God willing, he will attend, conveying the message that he will attend. We will officially convey the invitation to Pak Jokowi," he said. Then, PKB will also invite all party general chairmen. "We hope that as yesterday, when the leaders of the parties are present, God willing, these parties will also attend in Bali later," said Faisol. The 6th congress will be attended by 5,500 PKB cadres consisting of autonomous bodies (banoms), namely the central leadership council (DPP) and the syuro council, regional leadership council (DPW), to branch leadership councils (DPC) throughout Indonesia. In the congress later, PKB will follow up on the wishes of all regional party officials to branches. Where, PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) will again lead the party for the next period. "Regarding the request to Mr. Muhaimin as the general chairman of the PKB to lead again, it has been conveyed by all branches and DPW asking for his willingness to re-lead the PKB in the upcoming government and in the upcoming DPP management," explained Faisol. Furthermore, Faisol said PKB would decide the party's stance to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government. This follows up on the aspirations of all party administrators at the regional level. "In general, the voices of all branches and DPWs have so far wanted almost everyone to say that PKB must join the upcoming government," he said. PKB also invited 65 political party leaders (political parties) who are members of the International Democratic Sentris or Centrict Democrat International (CDI) in the 6th Congress later this month.

CDI is an organization of international political parties subject to democracy. PKB has joined the CDI since 2019. Not only that, PKB also invited scholars and Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) figures who had been considered to have contributed to the party led by Muhaimin Iskandar.
